1st Annual zabbo open

We are honored to invite you to the 1st Annual Zabbo Open — a community event raising awareness and funds for heart failure patients navigating one of life's most challenging journeys.
At this moment, millions of Americans are living with heart failure, with thousands awaiting life-saving transplants. The road is often long, uncertain, and financially overwhelming. At HeartBrothers, we understand this firsthand — our community is made up of heart transplant recipients, LVAD patients, and survivors committed to supporting others through short-term housing, grants, peer-to-peer support, and hope, when they need it most.

The Zabbo Open was inspired by Jeremy Zabbo's journey with familial dilated cardiomyopathy, which led to an ICD implant and, ultimately, a heart transplant in 2026. His experience has fueled a deep desire to give back and support others facing similar challenges.

Join us for a meaningful day of golf, community, and impact — helping bring hope and support to heart failure families.

Jeremy's STORY
Jeremy Zabbo is a lifelong member of the Coventry community and a former two-sport athlete at Coventry High School, where he competed in football and wrestling. His passion for athletics carried into coaching, where he has spent years mentoring young athletes through Coventry Rams Pop Warner Football and currently with Coventry Renegades Wrestling, a K–8 youth program dedicated to building discipline, confidence, and character. The same resilience he instills in his athletes has guided him through his own life challenges.

In 2018, Jeremy was diagnosed with familial dilated cardiomyopathy — a life-changing condition that led to the implantation of an ICD in 2020 and a heart transplant in 2026. His journey through heart disease has reshaped his perspective, deepened his gratitude, and strengthened his commitment to living with purpose and giving back.

The Zabbo Open was created to bring the community together while supporting causes deeply personal to Jeremy and his family. A portion of the event's mission supports the HeartBrothers Foundation, which provides financial, emotional, and peer support to heart transplant patients, ventricular assist device (VAD) recipients, and their families.

Above all, Jeremy is a devoted son, brother, uncle, and cousin.
