There are moments when mission and community come together in a powerful way—and Sunday’s partnership with the New England Free Jacks was one of those moments. From 2–6PM, the HeartBrothers team had the privilege of being part of the game day festivities, raising awareness and support for heart failure patients and families while connecting with an incredible crowd of supporters.

Heart transplant survivor Mike O'Brien and, HeartBrothers caregiver and Development Director, Jenn O’Brien represented HeartBrothers at our table before the game, joined by heart transplant survivor Lenny and his wife Chris, who generously volunteered their time to help engage fans and share the mission of HeartBrothers.
Throughout the afternoon, we had meaningful conversations with attendees about life after transplant, the realities of heart failure, and the support available through HeartBrothers. Events like this remind us how powerful awareness can be—because every conversation has the potential to connect someone to hope.

One special highlight of the day was our signed team ball raffle. Thanks to the generosity of the Free Jacks, fans who made a donation during the game were entered to win an autographed ball signed by the team. Through social media and in-person engagement, the raffle created excitement while helping raise funds that will directly support heart failure patients and caregivers.
Another unforgettable moment came at halftime, when Jenn had the opportunity to speak to a crowd of nearly 3,000 people about the HeartBrothers mission. Sharing our story in that setting—surrounded by thousands of fans—was a powerful reminder that awareness saves lives, and community fuels impact.

Reflecting on the day, Jenn shared, “What an incredible day from beginning to end! Huge thanks to the Free Jacks for the warm hospitality and for showing so much love to the HeartBrothers Foundation.” Her words capture what made the day so meaningful—not just the fundraising and awareness raised, but the spirit of partnership and generosity that defined the afternoon.
We are deeply grateful to the Free Jacks organization for welcoming us, amplifying our work, and using the platform of sport to make a difference. We’re also thankful to everyone who stopped by our table, made a donation, entered the raffle, and cheered us on. Because of partnerships like this, we continue to raise awareness, provide support, and bring hope to families navigating heart failure.
To everyone who helped make Sunday possible—thank you for being part of the HeartBrothers team.
Together, we’re proving that community can be lifesaving.
