Strengthening the Journey: HeartBrothers Partner with Brewster Ambulance

At the HeartBrothers Foundation, we know that the journey through heart failure and transplantation doesn’t begin and end at the hospital—it’s everything in between that matters, too.
One of the biggest challenges patients and families face is simply getting to care safely and reliably. From transplant evaluations to biopsies and follow-up appointments, transportation can quickly become a stressful and overwhelming burden.
That’s why we’re proud to announce a new partnership with Brewster Ambulance Service to launch a specialized cardiac transplant Transportation Program serving patients across Massachusetts, New Hampshire, and Rhode Island.
Together, we’re working to ensure that patients have access to safe, clinically appropriate transportation at every stage of their journey—from pre-transplant care to post-transplant recovery. This includes support for high-risk patients, those living with mechanical circulatory support devices, and individuals who require frequent monitoring and follow-up.

Beyond transportation, this partnership is about creating a smoother, more supportive experience for families navigating Boston’s complex healthcare system. With coordinated scheduling, dedicated support, and thoughtful logistics, we’re helping patients get where they need to be—without added stress or barriers.
Our goal is simple: to remove obstacles, improve access to care, and support better outcomes for the heart failure community.
This partnership represents another step forward in our mission to ensure that no patient has to face this journey alone.
